Certification bodies that wanted to act in the national security as may apply for accreditation to ENAC

The National Accreditation the outline of the accreditation of entities that want certify compliance with the national security (ENS).

The outline of accreditation has been developed by ENAC in close collaboration with ministry of finance and public authorities and the Centre National Cryptologic (CCN).

The Royal Decree 3/2010 of 8 january, which regulates the National security in the area of E-government sets the basic principles and minimum requirements as well as the protective measures to put in place in the systems of the Public Administration . One of its main objectives is to generate confidence that there is adequate protection of the information and that the systems operate without interruption or modifications out of control and to prevent access to unauthorized persons.

The Centre National cryptologic (CCN) has developed the guides of the series 800 as instruments of support to the adequacy of ENS. For its part, the “ Safety guide (CCN-STIC-809): statement and certification in accordance with the NHIS and distinctive Compliance (Opens in new window) ” provides that, when it comes to information systems or high-class , the certification of conformity with the NHIS shall be issued by a certification service provider accredited by the national Accreditation according to the standard UNE-EN ISO/IEC 17065:20121.

It establishes a transitional period of 12 months in which certification bodies of the NHIS undertake their work of certification before having secured ENAC accreditation, if after this period the certification body has not obtained the accreditation, should stop their activities.

The NCC remain in the electronic an updated list of entities accredited certification and accreditation to issue certificates of conformity with the TEAMS.
