Today it has been published in the official journal of the european union Implementation decision (EU) 2018/2048 of 20 december 2018 on the harmonized rule applicable to the websites and applications for mobile devices drafted in support of the directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the european parliament and council.
Through this decision provides that the standard for compliance with the Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the european parliament and of the council of 26 october 2016, on the accessibility of websites and applications for mobile devices of the public sector agencies is the norm
This rule, in line with the WCAG 2.1 reflected in the annex to the relationship between the content of the rule and the essential requirements of the directive.
In the spanish context, on 20 september 2018 entered into force the majority of the provisions of the new Royal Decree 1112/2018, of 7 september on accessibility of websites and applications for mobile devices in the public sector that reflected the spanish legal system the directive 2016/2102. Article 6 sets "that It shall be presumed that the content of websites and applications for mobile devices that meets the harmonised standards or parts of Those whose references have been published in « Official Gazette of the european union ’ complies with accessibility requirements set out in article 5 that are covered by these rules or portions thereof.".
Therefore, from today, 21 december 2018, the standard on spanish public administrations in their web sites is the 301 549 v2.1.2 (2018-08). In the case of mobile applications apply from 23 june 2021.
