Irekia renews its version of free software

The Basque Government updated its web portal on Open Government and participation with a new version of software with the aim of better display proposals put forward by the government and the citizenship and facilitate their participation.

As on previous occasions, and faithful to the commitment of openness and cooperation represented by the free software, the directorate of open government makes available to the community the source code for the implementation Open Irekia v4 which is based its website, under the Service of the european union European Union Public Licence – EUPL (Opens in new window) ”.

In this way, with the distribution free of the above-mentioned software, the platform is available to citizens, businesses, as well as other institutions. In this regard, as previous example included the recent experience of the government of Asturias, which has based its portal “ Asturias involved, their site open governance ”, in the Open Irekia.
