The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) establishes as Inline XBRL format for the financial report since 1 january 2020

ESMA has published on 22 december, a declaration establishing the electronic format to be used for communicating the corporate financial reporting, from 1 january 2020 favoring the interoperability of financial information.

The analysis carried out by the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has concluded that the XBRL Inline format is best suited to meet the requirements of the european Union on the referral of the annual financial reports in a single electronic format, as it allows a single document can be prosecuted in an automated way as read by people.

The use of a single format will enable consumers and investors, analysts and auditors carry out analysis and comparison of large amounts of financial information. Access to the annual financial reports for professional investors and retailers is essential to create solid capital markets across the eu.
