The teacher's Digital File is a data model designed to contain the information regarding the history of academic and professional teaching staff in non-university education.

The teacher's Digital File has been developed by experts of the world of education in collaboration with different educational administrations of the state. The work has been to identify and define the necessary fields to host the teachers' professional information currently residing in different administrations and formats, so that it can be used for digital exchange of the same between different systems.

The model has been designed according to six categories:

  1. Identification data
  2. Academical data
  3. Administrative file
  4. Learning and development
  5. Other qualifications
  6. Digital file metadata

One of the future applications that can support this model is in the mobility of teachers at the national level so that the teaching of travel information of digital mode and automated, without manual intervention or in paper format.

The model is in compliance with the technical standards for Electronic File that defines the National Interoperability (ENI), (Opens in new window) what can be reused as specified by regulations in force.

With the aim of providing the teacher's Digital File and keep it for free use, as was done for the digital File to the pupil, has been published in the centre of technology transfer.
