The National Congress of records and Archivos Electrónicos (cnADe) is one of the main events in spain to discuss the implementation of electronic records and archives for the modernization and digitization of the public service. The event 2025, held on 21 and 22 january in Madrid, brought together over 700 experts from all public administrations and service providers.
During the congress, the initiative eArchiving organized a round table entitled "The eArchiving Initiative: Digital preservation and interoperability of files in the Eu ’. In the round table participated Fulgencio sanmartín de la DG CNECT (online), Sven Schlarb, Miguel Umlauff, Anna Sancho and Carlota Bustelo eArchiving initiative.
Fulgencio Sanmartín, responsible for policies of DG CNECT, describes the history of eArchiving initiative and the need for the european commission to develop specifications and components that will allow to public sector to reduce the dependence of suppliers.
Sven Schlarb, technical director of the initiative eArchiving, explained the different specifications and components of the initiative eArchiving, as well as the procedure for obtaining the stamp of conformity eArchiving.
Anna Sancho and Miguel Umlauff, held an open dialogue with the public about the differences that have been among the various projects in Spain. Anna Sancho emphasized how the spanish government had been a pioneer in the digital preservation and interoperability. He said that these implementers pioneers of OAIS model would be well placed to make reference to the specifications and eArchiving tools in future projects. Miguel Umlauff stressed the importance of collaboration with suppliers of solutions to develop solutions Digital preservation, which is a key objective of the eArchiving Initiative.
The meeting ended with a discussion with the public.
