The Royal Decree 3/2010, of 8 january, which regulates the National security scheme (NHIS) in the area of E-government, and its partial modification in 2015, adopted in a regulatory context, social and technological development that has suffered a major transformation since then.
The updating of National security scheme (NHIS) seeks to facilitate the response to emerging trends and needs of cybersecurity, so that continue to ensure the protection of information systems in the entities of its scope of application, by reducing vulnerabilities and promoting the continuous monitoring.
The project of Royal Decree regulating the National security scheme (NHIS) establishes the basic principles and minimum requirements necessary for the protection of information and services in entities of its scope of application, in accordance with the legal framework, technological, strategic and cyber threats, adapting to current trends in cybersecurity and developing mechanisms for response and optimum safety measures for this, and more effectively and efficiently.
