Has published the report IRIA 2016, which provides the analysis of the most significant indicators of the ict sector of the year 2015 in local government.

Is now available for consultation the report IRIA 2016 with the analysis of indicators for the situation and use of information systems and technology and communications in the spanish local government, as well as ICT staff employed. The information has been updated as at 1 january 2016, being the period of inquiry for the year 2015.

The new commission ict strategies (created by royal Decree No. 806/2014, on 26 september), which replaces the previous high council of E-government, has been responsible for drafting this report. IRIA ) has been published every two years since 1988, by placing coincide with the publication of the report REINA . In this edition, unlike the previous ones, has not been issued jointly.

The report IRIA , includes a study that includes government Councils and municipalities, Cabildos participants, analysing different aspects related to ict expenditures processing park, software, ICT staff employed, network administration and various indicators on the evolution of the electronic administration Ónica.

As data highlights to take into account, stress that:

  • total expenditure in information technologies in the period amounted to $943 million euros; 16 per cent more than the figure reached in 2013.
  • the 18 per cent of total expenditure (just under eur 170 million) is for costs in telecommunications and 82 per cent to spending.

It is noteworthy in this edition the increase in the degree of participation of local entities which definitely is in the interests of the quality of the outcome of the study.
