The report by the Sectoral Commission of the ICT CRUE (conference of rectors of universities In Spain) conducted a global analysis and careful consideration of it from any point of view. It carries out a detailed inventory of the elements YOU present on campus, addresses an analysis of best practices in managing YOU and is assessed how you can control You at our universities from a strategic vision.

It is available the report UNIVERSITIC 2014, prepared by the sectoral commission technology CRUE (conference of rectors of universities In Spain). In his presentation, the president of the CRUE, stressed the vital importance “ the contribution of information technology to the two main missions: the university teaching and research ”.

To present this report has been the president of the sectoral commission CRUE-TIC who has highlighted the participation “ 63 universities, which grouped to 84 per cent of students of the Spanish University System ”.

To achieve the desired information is used a catalogue of indicators, comprising three types of different indicators: indicators of description of THEE; indicators of management of Thee, and the indicators of You.

Within the indicators of "Description" it is the Axis "3: Management processes where" addresses the issues related to electronic administration. The objectives have been analysed "Have computer applications for university management", "Expediting care using new technologies and Promote" "electronic administration". Some of the findings are significant aim:

  • 82 Per cent on a total of 51 university management processes proposed by UNIVERSITIC has a specific application.
  • On the total of 20 of the electronic administration included in the catalogue UNIVERSITIC, 60 per cent are in place. The evolution of this indicator is positive, experiencing an increase of 5.9 per cent in the past year.
  • 48.4 Per cent of the administrative procedures (on a total of 7 procedures analysed) are available at headquarters. If we take into account the universities that have responded in 2013 and 2014, it checks as there is an increase of 15,36 per cent.

The data provided by the report are very important for universities since they can compare their situation with the rest and can learn from good practices undertaken in other universities, and the business network in the sector so that YOU first-hand understanding of the strengths, gaps and demands in thee of universities which enables them to go ahead and to bring its own solutions to these.
