European Digital strategy

European Commission Digital Strategy. Submitted on 19 february 2020 by the european commission. The strategy presented a european society driven by digital solutions. The first steps towards these objectives are:

  • NOTE: The Plan of action of electronic administration 2016-2020 notes 3 main priorities and introduces 20 measures to modernise public administrations, the Digital Único Market, and involve citizens and businesses in the high-quality service, as well as the updating of the european framework for Interoperability, available since march 2017.
    Subsequently, the Ministerial declaration of electronic administration of Tallinn (PDF in spanish) (Opens in new window) – october 2017 – has been to strengthen the commitment to the principles of the Plan of action, particularly of the following: by default, inclusion and accessibility principle only once, confidence and security, openness and transparency and interoperability by default.

  • NOTE : The European Commission published the "Strategy for a Digital Único Market for europe". That strategy sets out 16 key actions that the commission will take place before the end of 2016.
    It is based on three pillars: (I) improved access for consumers and businesses to digital goods and services across europe; (II) the creation of conditions and equal conditions for digital networks and innovative services can flourish; (III) maximize the potential for growth of the digital economy.
