The project STORK (Secure idenTity acrOss boRders linKed ), is a European project, developed from 2008 to 2011 within the framework programme for competitiveness and innovation (CIP), to facilitate the creation and adoption of a Single Area for Europa, interoperable and sustainable electronic identification and authentication.

The results obtained in STORK are taking their continuity in the project STORK 2.0, also executed within the program CIP. As new on STORK, STORK 2.0 provides address representation, both individuals and corporations, in an electronic environment, including facilities to manage mandates and powers, under the principles of transfer certain attributes, high data protection, and control of the user.

All Belgium, 25 October 2010 – STORK co-financiado is a project by the European Union of the programme supporting policies tick, within the framework programme for competitiveness and innovation (CIP), which implements a platform for interoperability of electronic identifiers in the HAT.

The six riders STORK in production

Cross border Authentication for Electronic Services: The objective of the pilot is to facilitate the access of citizens of a member state to public services existing in another member state. Citizens used their own national e credentials to access this service.

SaferChat: Approached to increase Internet security for children and adolescents, professors in different countries create tasks and chat rooms for their students, within the age groups specified for the purposes of e-learning. It will encourage students to work with their foreign counterparts, and create P2P studies packages, emphasizing the awareness of Internet security.

Cross Border eDelivery: the objective of this pilot is enlargement of the different national portals for the electronic delivery (official notifications), the border Area, providing access to citizens of other countries, using their own credentials. In addition, this pilot seeks to create a basic framework, providing public administrations sending documents to the citizens of different countries, through the portal of electronic delivery of their own country.

Change of Address: This pilot develops a Change of address interoperable, which allows foreign nationals, using their credentials nationals, notify a change of address to the parties involved, without changing current procedures in the participating states in this pilot. This is achieved using the platform of interoperability STORK for the identification and authentication of the citizen. Contains two scenarios: the change of address in your new country, and the same address change in their country of origin by notification generated by the first country.

Commission Services: The Service Authentication of the European commission (DOLLS) allows the identification in a multitude of their applications. To integrate in the platform DOLLS STORK national credentials of several countries are integrated in a transparent manner. The integration technique has been recently completed and production services will be gradually to provide identification by STORK.
