The Administrative information system, SIA, is a software application whose basic function is to act as a catalogue of information on tape, including administrative procedures and services aimed at both as its own citizen of public administrations.
SIA has its origin in Law 30/1992, 26 November, the legal regime of public administrations and the Common Administrative Procedure, where expected, in his article 42.4, the obligation to publish and keep updated relations of procedures and give information concerning basic extremes.
Currently SIA responds to fulfilling the mandate laid down in Article 21.4 law 39/2015, 1 October Common Administrative procedure of public administrations, which establishes the obligation to publish and maintain updated in the web portal, for information purposes, relations of procedures of their competence and give information concerning the extremes of the same basic and in the Royal Decree 4/2010, of January 8th, that regulates the schema national of Interoperability in the field of E-government.
Así pues, SIA atiende a dos importantes objetivos: por un lado, ser el repositorio de información supone reforzar la seguridad jurídica en la actuación de la administración, en tanto que incorpora la información fundamental sobre los distintos procedimientos, que no son otra cosa que los cauces formales por los que debe discurrir el actuar de la misma.
