The Government participates in the european project STORK 2.0 to facilitate the digital life without borders and mobility in the eu

The project will begin with Stork 2.0 pilots in the areas of e-learning and academic qualifications, electronic banking services, public services for companies and ehealth.

The Government, through the directorate of Administrative Modernization, procedures and momentum of E-government, ministry of finance and Public Administrations, involved in the european project Stork 2.0 (Secure idenTity acrOss boRders linKed 2.0), leading the work package concerning the definition of specifications and building blocks.

STORK 2.0 is a three-year project funded by the EU that has been put in place to facilitate the development and adoption of a unique area for europe, interoperable and sustainable, identification and authentication, both for natural or juridical persons. It has an important spanish participation because, in addition to the ministry, the Universitat Jaume I, the university of Murcia, and companies Atos Spain and SCYTL consortium responsible for its implementation, which brings together 58 members belonging to 19 countries.

The initiative will promote the convergence between the public and private sectors, at the national and community levels, for the safe and easy access to public services using credentials of cross-border electronic identity. Will be carried out four pilots with a duration of 12 months, focusing on the Areas of e-learning (virtual learning) and academic qualifications, electronic banking services, public services for companies and e-health (e-health), to demonstrate the capacity and benefits of interoperable electronic identity in a real life.
