The Superior Council of E-government, has been convening biennially since 1989 days on information technologies for the modernization of public administrations, known as TECNIMAP, whose final aim is to contribute to use information technologies and communications in public administrations of an innovative and effective way to reduce costs and improve service delivery. The Days TECNIMAP serve to raise new viable solutions that help streamline the functioning of the various government departments, to publicize the extraordinary number of computer applications already in place, thus avoiding that at different levels of the state duplicated efforts to try to resolve situations based on the ignorance of experience in similar situations. The Days are structured in the form of conferences and roundtables by specially invited speakers, free communications, special sessions on topics of monographic today, in addition to organizing a large lounge of demonstrations. The characteristics that best define the uniqueness of these days are as follows:
- In TECNIMAP brings together the theoretical reflection with the presentation of practical solutions: activities and congressional Hall of demonstrations.
- In the protagonism TECNIMAP users do not suppliers of information technologies.
- In TECNIMAP attracts the three levels of Government (State and Local), expanding the framework that have the JIAL (Computer days of the Local administration), convened by the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP), and, on the other hand, there is an adequate level of coordination to avoid coincide in time.
