The european project “ Connecting public services to the english eIDAS node ” is carried out within the framework programme Connecting Europe Facility (FSB) . Its goal was for public services in spain the node conectasen eIDAS english and get ready to fulfil the obligation of the rules of procedure eIDAS ( Regulation (EU) No. 910/2014 ) on the recognition of cross-border identities. In this project have participated as service providers, various government agencies, including: local entities, universities, government offices, as well as Ministries, in addition to the General secretariat of Digital Administration as head of the implementation and operator of spanish eIDAS node and Red.es registrar as coordinator of the project.
Thanks to this connection to a node eIDAS, european citizens could access these spanish public services for authentication using a means of identification of their country of origin. Similarly, a spanish citizen may be identified in european services using your id.
The integration of services to a node eIDAS are Cl@ve system, which provides different methods of authentication of electronic identity of citizens. This provides an option for european citizens, who uses the network of nodes eIDAS to enable them to be identified using a means of identification of their country of origin.
In september 2018, must be mutual recognition of cross-border electronic identities served on the European Commission, so that all public services should be able to offer the possibility of ownership of media electronic identity of other countries, provided that they have been reported.
