New materials report on the royal decree 1112/2018 on accessibility of websites and mobile applications of the public sector

Are issued two documents to citizens and public administrations of commentary on how to implement and to consider the facilitators of Royal Decree. Drew particular attention to document aimed at public administrations.

On 20 september 2018 entered into force the majority of the provisions of the new Royal Decree 1112/2018, of 7 september on accessibility of websites and applications for mobile devices in the public sector (Opens in new window) that reflected the spanish legal system Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the european parliament and of the council of 26 october 2016, on the accessibility of websites and applications for mobile devices of the public sector agencies (Opens in new window) (Opens in new window).

Since then there have been numerous consultations on some of these precepts, how to implement them and the deadlines within which should be done, particularly from the point of view of public administrations which are entities obliged to implement it. For this reason, since the Observatory of Web Accessibility have prepared these materials:

These documents also include graphic materials aimed at clarifying the context and to facilitate the dissemination and awareness-raising within public administrations.

All materials are generated with creative commons licenses to facilitate recycling and use by all public administrations still be possible to modify them in order to adapt them to their specific needs.

Finally, it is generated section Frequently Asked Questions in this regard of the royal decree issued where those questions that may be of interest to all relevant stakeholders.
