    datos.gob.es nace el 24 de octubre de 2011 bajo el seno de la Initiative Contributor , promoted by the then Energy ministry, tourism and Digital Agenda through the Specifically, Public Company and, in collaboration with the then also, Ministry of Finance and Public Function . La convocatoria se enmarca dentro de la iniciativa “Innovation Europe”, uno de las siete líneas de acción derivadas del plan estratégico de la Unión Europea “Europa 2020”, que busca fomentar el crecimiento, inclusión e innovación en la Unión y sus Estado miembros.

    Entre las previsiones de la citada norma se incluye que “La Secretaría de Estado de Administraciones Públicas del Ministerio de Hacienda y Administraciones Públicas y la Secretaría de Estado de Telecomunicaciones y para la Sociedad de la Información del Ministerio de Industria, Energía y Turismo mantendrán un catálogo de información pública reutilizable correspondiente, al menos, a la Administración General del Estado y a los demás organismos y entidades a que se refiere el artículo 1.2, que permita acceder, desde un único punto, a los distintos recursos de información pública reutilizable disponibles”.

    Más de 90 entidades del sector público estatal tienen ya su perfil en el catálogo, que incluye aproximadamente 700 referencias de información pública reutilizable en este momento.

    En su función de plataforma facilitadora del acceso a la información reutilizable, se incorporan en el Catálogo las peticiones recibidas del Ayuntamiento de Gijón, y de la Conferencia de Rectores y Universidades de España.
