The ninth edition of SEMIC, the annual conference of semantic interoperability, will take place in Helsinki, Finlandia, on 21 October 2019

The event, organized by the Program ISA ² of the European commission in collaboration with the Finnish presidency of the board of the UE together, policymakers, practitioners thee and researchers interested in subjects related to semantic interoperability for public administrations.

The theme of SEMIC 2019 is " Link of spaces of data for citizens ".

SEMIC 2019 explore the idea of the trans-European data spaces available for public administrations. These spaces create a framework to experiment and implement transboundary digital public services interoperable.

The ninth edition of SEMIC show how public administrations connect these spaces of data, cooperate and jointly create solutions for innovative digital public services and focused on the citizen.

Participants SEMIC 2019 you will find two angles of how semantic interoperability comes into play in spaces of trans-European data. First, highlight the opportunities of innovative technologies for public administrations digital, with a focus on artificial intelligence. Secondly, share stories of real life on the transfer of information between public administrations in Europe and the world enabled by semantic technologies.
