The "Core Assessment Vocabulary" (CAV) is used to represent, express and define what an ""Assessment" of Assets" is and how to perform assessments based on "Criteria", regardless of the domain of the assets to be evaluated. It is the basis of the European Commission's "Common Method for Assessment of Standards and Specifications" (CAMSS), so CAV defines the conceptual models used by CAMSS and the rules and constraints specific to the CAMSS domain.

Description
The Core Assessment Vocabulary (CAV) represents, expresses, and defines what an “Assessment” of “Assets” is and how to perform the assessment based on“ Criteria”. It is a domain-agnostic vocabulary, meaning that it can be used to assess any asset.
The CAV has been essential for the development of the CAMSS Assessment EIF Scenario, which accounts for the adherence of a specification to the provisions depicted in the European Interoperability Framework (EIF).
CAV defines conceptual data models used for the CAMSS Vocabulary, as well as constraints and rules specific to the CAMSS domain, reusing the following ontologies and vocabularies:
Friend of a Friend (FOAF)
Core Person Vocabulary (CPV), only Natural Persons
The Organization Ontology
Core Criterion and Core Evidence Vocabulary (CCCEV)
