With the launch of Node Spain becomes the first country to have a node eIDAS available and gives another step towards fulfilling the obligations established by the European regulation eIDAS, which requires the recognition in 2018, electronic identities issued by other member states for electronic access to public services.

The node eIDAS is the component of interoperability that connects with electronic services and the national identification systems, and with the corresponding nodes of other member states, and allows the recognition of electronic identities issued by other countries agree with the European regulation eIDAS (Opens in new window) .

With this deployment Spain becomes the first country in the union in having a node eIDAS operational, which puts you in an excellent position to address the integration with the same of electronic services of the different administrations and, consequently, to comply with the obligation to allow citizens of the union that can use their electronic identification systems for national access to public services of other member states.
