With the launching of the node, spain has become the first country to have a node eIDAS available and another step towards realizing the commitments set out by the european regulation eIDAS, which requires the recognition, in 2018, from electronic identities issued by other member states for electronic access to public services.

The ministry of finance and Public Service (MINHAFP), through General Secretariat of Digital Administration (SGAD), has deployed the first version of spanish eIDAS node, integrated with the DNI-e.

THE FSB eID (Opens in new window) ) provided for in the european programme FSB (Connecting Europe Facility).

The EFC programme has also supported co-financiación, providing the deployment of node eIDAS english, through action 2014-ES-IM-0009, for the convening of aid for THE EFC Telecom eID 2014. The project has included the validation of the installation of node eIDAS english according to the technical specifications marked by the rules of procedure, validation, which has been carried out by the information technology services of the european commission.

With this deployment Spain became the first in the union a operating eIDAS node, which puts him in an excellent position to address the integration with the same of electronic services at the various administrations and, therefore, to fulfil the obligation to allow the union's citizens that they can use their electronic identification systems for access to public services of other member states.
