During the past ibero-american conference of ministers of Public Administration on 30 june and 1 july 2011 was approved on "framework for electronic identification Ibero-American Social".
Among the objectives of the framework to promote the use of electronic identification in the area to latin america, and to develop a set of concepts, fundamentals, principles and guidelines relevant to the design, implementation and development of electronic identification Ibero-American Social consolidate in the region the recognition, exercise and effective enjoyment of social rights of the ibero-american citizens.
Ultimately, is intended to lay the groundwork for future agreements of mutual recognition of electronic identification devices, such as national identity documents, in different countries of the ibero-american community. This would promote citizens' access to public services, by facilitating their right to family relations viewed with the administration of their country and in a later step, with the administrations of other Ibero-american states.
