The Observatory of Web Accessibility launches the new version of the diagnostic Service online

You can generate new reports aligned with forecasts simplified monitoring of the directive 2016/2102 of accessibility of websites and mobile applications of the public sector

According to collects the directive 2016/2102 member states checked regularly the conformity of websites and applications for mobile devices of the public sector agencies with accessibility requirements set out in the harmonised IN 301549v2.1.2:2018 (Opens in new window) which, in its Spanish version materialises in UNE-EN 301549:2019 (Opens in new window) and that is in line with WCAG 2.1 .

Derived from the directive, also last year, was released the Implementation decision (HAT) 2018/1524 (Opens in new window) que da instrucciones específicas al respecto de la metodología de seguimiento, estableciendo dos métodos de seguimiento: simplified monitoring , which affects websites and to detect the failures of a subset of the requirements of the harmonised and in-depth monitoring , which affects both websites and applications for mobile devices and you can verify carefully the implementation of all requirements identified.

According to the Royal Decree 1112/2018 (Opens in new window) on accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public sector, Web accessibility observatory is working in monitoring and reporting that has assigned, among which is the generation of " New methodology for tracking UNE-EN 301549 Simplified (Opens in new window) ".

In this context, the production new version of the diagnostic Service online , available via the community of accessibility, according to the preliminary proposal of " New methodology for tracking UNE-EN 301549 Simplified ". The fundamental changes in the service are the modification of certain accessibility checks, incorporating WCAG2.1 checks , selection of the number of pages to analyze as well as the sending by email of the source code analysed in a file fuente.zip _ code together with the report of accessibility.
