CERES-FNMT modifies its policy of renewal of obsolete electronic certificates during the state of alarm

The PSC of CERES-FNMT implements the renewal of qualified electronic certificates expired during the state of alarm

In implementation of Royal Decree 463/2020, of 14 march, by the state of alarm for the management of the situation of health crisis caused by COVID-1 9, the secretariat of digitization status and Artificial intelligence has communicated to service providers of confidence which operate in spain who may not be the deadlines set out in item 13.4 of the law 59/2003 of 19 december, for electronic signature, during the period of application of the state of alarm.

In addition, the PSC may allow the renewal of certificates using other that expired as of 14 march.

In this regard, the PSC of CERES-FNMT has published in the electronic several releases by announcing that it has:

  • Enable online renewal of certificates of Individual expired after the entry into force of the Royal Decree 463/2020, of 14 march .
  • Remove the restriction that requires physical personación every 5 years to renew a certificate, so that all those certificates to those who got less than 60 days to expire, on individuals and the representative of The Administrator Único or Solidarity, may be renewed online a second time.
