The Government is an inter-ministerial group to prepare the Plan for the digital processing of the spanish economy

The council of ministers has given the green light to the creation of a working group composed of nine ministries and the office of president of the government, with the aim of preparing the Plan to move the digital processing of the spanish economy.

The Plan will pick up the measures and instruments that, based on digital technologies, promote improved competitiveness and economic growth.

The working group, headed by the Secretary of State for the information society and the Digital Agenda (Opens in new window) shall be composed of the Ministry of economy, industry and Competitiveness (Opens in new window) , Ministry of finance and Public Service (Opens in new window) , Ministry of Territorial Administrations (Opens in new window) , Employment and Social security (Opens in new window) , Education, culture and sport (Opens in new window) , Agriculture, fisheries, food and environment (Opens in new window) , Health, social services and equality (Opens in new window) and Capacity (Opens in new window) as well as the Office of the president of the Economic Government (Opens in new window) .

The panel is set in motion to ensure efficient coordination between ministerial departments to maximize synergies between all actions aimed towards the digitization of their respective areas.

In this regard, the Plan should include a precise definition of the proceedings that each department should develop, specifying a time frame and the instruments used.

The measures of this plan will be integrated into the Digital strategy for Smart a spain (Opens in new window) being prepared by the Ministry of energy, tourism and Digital Agenda (Opens in new window) and will be consistent with the respective sectoral plans and strategies of the departments of the working group.
