The community of the region of Murcia promotes smart cities with the introduction of electronic administration

Twenty-two municipalities with less than 20,000 inhabitants will count with this free service for municipalities.

The Autonomous Community is working to promote smart cities ’ between municipalities with fewer than 20,000 inhabitants with the introduction, free of charge for municipalities, of the electronic administration. Andrés Carrillo pointed out that “ ict has become a key factor for the improvement of employment, and an opportunity for young people in our region ”. At the national level, employment in the ict sector has been growing by 18 per cent and, in accordance with the macroeconomic forecasts of the european union, will be established until 2020 to 900, 000 new jobs.

According to experts, eight out of every 10 young people aged between 20 and 30 will find a job related to the digital divide in jobs that do not yet exist, and in that regard is working regional government.
