Until 28 february is open for the submission of nominations for the award of public service of the united Nations is the most prestigious international recognition of excellence in public service. Will be rewarded the creative achievements and contributions of the institutions of public service that lead to a public administration more effective and responsive in countries around the world.

The United Nations Public service (United Nations Public Service Awards, UNPSA) is the most prestigious international recognition of excellence in public service. Will be rewarded the creative achievements and contributions of the institutions of public service that lead to a public administration more effective and responsive in countries around the world. Through an annual competition, the awards of the united Nations Public Service to promote the work, professionalism and visibility of public service.

The United nations has initiated the deadline for accept nominations (Opens in new window) awards UNPSA 2017, which is open until 28 february 2017.

In 2017, the awards are divided into three categories:

  • Integration of the poorest and most vulnerable through inclusive services and participation.
  • Promotion of transparency, accountability and integrity in public service.
  • Innovation and excellence in providing health services.

The prizes will be delivered on 23 june 2017, during the celebration of the United Nations forum on the Public Service, which will take place in holland. On 23 june is the day of the public service of the united Nations, whose purpose is to hold "the value and excellence that public service to society; to highlight the contribution of public services in the development process; to acknowledge the work of civil servants, and to stimulate young people to pursue careers in the public sector". Since the first delivery of prizes in 2003, the United nations has received an increasing number of nominations from all over the world.
