El e-EMGDE v2.0 supone la evolución de la versión anterior, a la luz de la experiencia derivada de la aplicación práctica de la primera versión y de la actualización del contexto de referentes.

It has perfected the alignment of Metadata schema for the management of Electronic Document (e-EMGDE) with the minimum mandatory metadata, including some new elements and subitems, improved descriptions and considerations of use, while maintaining its characteristics of extensibility and flexibility to their implantation on systems of different kinds and facilitating greater interoperability between different systems and throughout the life cycle of documents, it fills with patterns of values and annexes, all this in the light of the many contributions received from the AA.PP. and policies of document management que se han ido publicando y de las actualizaciones de las normas y estándares de referencia.

According to the Royal Decree 4/2010 (Opens in new window) , un esquema de metadatos es un instrumento que define la incorporación y gestión de los metadatos de contenido, contexto y estructura de los documentos electrónicos a lo largo de su ciclo de vida.
