During the “ month of the market Único ” will take place a broad public debate online open to all european citizens, whose aim will be to raise a major debate on the functioning of the single market and its impact on our daily life of individuals and businesses.
The event will be developed in line, so that experts, officials and commissioners europeans, as well as members of the european parliament and national leaders to directly engage with the participants.
Every 4 weeks of the “ month of the market Único ” will be devoted to a particular issue, and the findings and ideas from the online discussion will underpin a discussion that will be broadcast Euronews on 23 october 2013.
This year has chosen 4 themes which directly concern the citizen: employment, social rights, banks and electronic commerce.
Employment: work and to set up a business in Europe
- The Market Único offers eu citizens the freedom to live and work in other eu countries. This debate can include any aspect, since the establishment of a company to search for employment, for example.
Week 1: 23 to 27 september
Derechos culturales: your rights of social protection in the market Único
- The possibility to live and work in other eu countries means having equal access to the rights of social protection of those countries. This debate can include all kinds of issues such as pensions, unemployment benefits or use of public services such as health care, among others.
Week 2: 30 october to 4 september
Banks: Europe, banks and citizens
- The Market Único provides eu citizens without equal access to banks and financial services. This debate can include issues such as mortgages, access to bank accounts or the banking union, for example.
Week 3: 7-11 october
Electronic commerce: Buy, sell and communicate online
- Buy, sell and communicate online has transformed the daily lives of consumers and businesses. This debate can include issues such as the purchase and sale on line, vat in online shopping, problems of sending, privacy in social networks and many more.
Week 4: 14-18 october
