The General Directorate of Administrative Procedures, and encouraging the E-government becomes Intermediary for the management of ERDF, by signing an agreement with the General directorate of community funds of the ministry of finance and Public Administrations, representing the Member state.

The General Directorate of Administrative Procedures, and encouraging the E-government (DGMAPIAE) and the General directorate of community funds of the ministry of finance and Public Administrations, representing the member state, have signed an agreement, by which the first becomes Intermediary for the management of ERDF in the operational programme “ knowledge-based economy and the operational programmes of aragon, balearic islands, Cantabria, Navarra and La Rioja.

The structural funds and the cohesion fund, the european union, aim to promote a greater degree of economic and social cohesion in the area of the community, through the cofinancing of public-expenditure policies developed by the estados-miembros and directed towards the attainment of that goal.

The DGMAPIAE acts as Intermediary in the operational programme “ knowledge-based economy (regions convergence and Phasing-out) and in regional programmes of competitiveness of Aragon, balearic islands, Cantabria, Navarra and La Rioja. The proceedings to be developed for the operational programme “ Knowledge-based economy correspond to axis 1, Priority Theme 13: Services and applications for the citizen and the axis 7 technical assistance, Priority Theme 85 Preparation, implementation, monitoring and inspection.

The objective of the operational programme “ knowledge-based economy are as follows: Galicia, andalusia, Extremadura and Castilla-La Stain, Asturias, Murcia, Ceuta and Melilla, to be community aid 80 per cent and the national contribution of 20 per cent.

The DGMAPIAE also participates in the operational program of aragon, balearic and Navarra, in which it has received financial programming, being in these cases community aid more than 50 per cent and the national contribution of 50 per cent.
The DGMAPIAE as intermediary make and arrange for the follow-up to the actions cofinanced by the erdf in these Operational Programmes, through the ERDF host 'Management' assigned to the department.

The projects selected as beneficiaries of this funding, are basically those who are at the heart of the infrastructure and common services that facilitate the implementation of the E-government, the aliens act and the unity of the market.
