Elaboration of the map
The creation of a map of capabilities of technologies in artificial intelligence in Spain has been a priority of government through the Interministerial Group in Artificial intelligence, created under the commission Delegate Policy for science, technology and innovation and involving 16 of the 17 government ministries. This Map is also one of the objectives of the Spanish Strategy I + D + I in Artificial intelligence, launched by the ministry of Science, innovation and Universities last 4 March 2019. The Map is also a commitment of member states with the European Union reflected in the Coordinated Plan Artificial intelligence.
The ministry of science, innovation and Universities spearheaded the creation of this map within the actions carried out by the Interministerial Group in Artificial intelligence, with the collaboration in the design of the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT).
The end result is in a map with 154 legal entities, which is the first letter of presentation of the development and use of artificial intelligence in spain. A tool that allows you to recognize those Priority areas for investment of public policies and to the private sector.
