Ministries of finance and Territorial Policy and Public Function have published jointly 11 guides of implementation of the policy of electronic document management, to facilitate their implantation in the light of the experience and the implementation of laws 39/2015 and 40/2015.

En el año 2014 se publicó la Política de Gestión de Documentos electrónicos del Ministerio de Hacienda y Administraciones Públicas, la primera que se elaboró en el entorno de la Administración General del Estado. Por haber sido consensuada entre los diferentes organismos del Ministerio, así como por la Subdirección General de los Archivos Estatales del entonces Ministerio de Educación Cultura y Deportes, y el Ministerio de la Presidencia, esta política se convirtió en un referente para las políticas de gestión de documentos electrónicos posteriores, tanto de la AGE, como de las comunidades autónomas, entidades locales y universidades. En el año 2016 se aprobó la second edition of the policy of electronic document management (Opens in new window) the then Ministry of Finance and Public Function.

After four years since the publication of the policy of electronic document management has become necessary an update of the same, taking into account the accumulated experience in the processing and electronic file, adaptation to laws 39/2015 (Opens in new window) and 40/2015 (Opens in new window) , así como la necesidad de ofrecer orientación más concreta que facilite la aplicación práctica de los procesos de gestión documental.
