JoinUp
(la plataforma europea que tiene como objetivo compartir y reutilizar soluciones de interoperabilidad para administraciones públicas, empresas y ciudadanos) presentó el Wizard Joinup licensing
(JLA) that, as of today, analyzes now over 50 licenses open.
The main innovation of JLA is the possibility of selecting open licenses depending on its content, but also stands out as an example of synergy with the project SPDX of the founding Linux. The JLA adopted the license identifier SPDX as standard and is linked to the full text of the license that provides from the database of SPDX.
In a second step, JoinUp added a new functionality to compare open licenses. this way, you can select up to five licenses to obtain a table comparing characteristics.
While at this point, the platform has taken a step further and has just presented the
Compatibility checker
to evaluate the possibility of combining the source code obtained under different licenses, and distribute.
