MÓNICA, the solution for the management of events and security information

This new tool reflected in a single platform any existing information on potential threats. MONICA allows not only react to attacks, but anticipate them to correct them before they happen.

The CERT of National PKIX centre (Opens in new window) (CCN-CERT) presented its solution MÓNICA (Opens in new window) , an automated system for information management and security events, developed in conjunction with ICA Group. This new tool reflected in a single platform any existing information on potential threats, allowing not only react to attacks, but anticipate them to correct them before they happen.

Cyber teams must address the growing volume and sophistication of threats. The lack of visibility of the network, analyses time-consuming manual and lack of context, adversely affect the efficiency of the teams. With Mónica NGSIEM may increase the identification of threats before reaching cause serious consequences. Among their main characteristics are:

  • Detects and resolves threats in real time.
  • Prioritizes and investigates incidents relevant.
  • Single point of control and centralized storage.
  • Spanish technology aligned with the national Cybersecurity Strategy.
  • Analyzes the user behavior (UEBA).
  • Ciberinteligencia threats.
  • Responds automatically -SOAR-.
  • Integration with tool LUCIA (Opens in new window)  para la Gestión de Ciberincidentes en el ámbito de aplicación del Esquema Nacional de Seguridad.

This solution joins GLORY (Opens in new window) , utilizada por el CCN-CERT en los Sistemas de Alerta Temprana (SAT) y en otros Centros de Operaciones de Ciberseguridad, como posible SIEM a utilizar por las Administraciones Públicas. En ambos casos reúnen las condiciones de ser un producto nacional, producto cualificado. Disponer de capacidades avanzadas y no tener licenciamiento para las AAPP.
