Second Plan of action of Spain in the international partnership for open government.

Spain participates in the committed to implementing reforms to ensure fulfilment of a series of measures that would lay the foundations of the policy of Open Government, including all government agents.

In 2011 the Open Government Parnertship (Opens in new window) with the aim of improving communication with its citizens, involucrándoles in the public processes. Since then, the entity has grown from 8 to 64 initial united current countries work together to develop policies and strategies by the mouvement open government.

This year, under the coordination of the ministry of the presidency, it formed an inter-ministerial working group to develop the draft of the second Plan of action of spain on open government. This document was submitted to the valuation of society through a public consultation that took place from 29 april to 31 may 2014. Outcome of this consultation, a second final version which is already available in the portal del Open Government Partnership (Opens in new window) .

The paper presents the guidelines during the period 2014-2016 to proceed on the path already begun and work in new Areas to the consolidation of the Open Government in the country. It has established ten concrete commitments to achieve in the estimated time frame, stressing the commitment # 6 in favour of openness and reuse of public sector information. Work currently being developed within the Draft Contributes (Opens in new window) and that implies the recognition of the importance of culture open data in spain and the support for the achievements to date.

Through the implementation of the objectives, the second Plan of action of spain will become the best way to strengthen democratic processes, promote participatory dialogue with citizens and thus improve the quality and social welfare.
